2026 Summer
Enabling work begins
For a century, Memorial Stadium has been our home - a place where fans from every corner of the state gather with purpose and pride. Whether it's your first game or you're a longstanding season ticket holder, stepping through these gates always feels like a homecoming.
Echoing chants of "Husker" and "Power" set the tone before kickoff, reminding everyone of the passion that fuels this place. Brick by brick, era by era, Memorial Stadium has been shaped by those who recognized its power and invested in its future.
Fans today expect more than just a seat. They want a comfortable, premium environment with high-quality amenities and easy access to food, restrooms, and social spaces. Increasingly, the experience needs to be immersive, social, and memorable.
Uniting the band and student sections and bringing them closer to the field amplifies the game day atmosphere and maximizes home field advantage.
Digital integration, from strong connectivity to interactive in-game moments and mobile ticketing, is a must.
Moving through the facility should be easy and efficient with clear signage and no bottlenecks.
Comfortable seating is no longer reserved for those with suite access - it's expected by fans in all sections.
The “Big Red Rebuild” campaign aims to modernize our historic stadium, a source of pride and competitive advantage, ensuring it remains a state-of-the-art facility for future generations. Join us in this vital transformation. Your contribution will directly impact five key areas:
Improved WiFi and connectivity will increase engagement throughout the game, from live stats to social sharing. Tech-forward features like new video boards will bring fans closer to the action.
Redesigned entry points, wider concourses, and improved wayfinding will ease congestion and navigation. Faster, more efficient entry and exit will reduce wait times and get fans to their seats faster.
Expanded restrooms and concessions will improve overall comfort and reduce time away from the action. More food and beverage offerings will give fans the power of choice and elevate the game day experience.
We are committed to keeping Memorial Stadium affordable to all fans by offering sections that do not require a priority seating contribution. Additionally, expanded ADA accessibility will ensure everyone can enjoy game day to the fullest with greater ease and comfort.
A reimagined student section is on the way—designed to bring our students closer to the heart-pounding action and turn the south end zone into a true fortress of sound. With new safe-standing areas, we're creating an electrifying yet secure environment that empowers our students to fuel the fiercest home field advantage in all of college football. Together, we'll make the stadium roar like never before.
